OUR STORY

Dan and Karen were married in 1972 and immediately built a herd from the Herefords Dan had accumulated. The first bull they would purchase, Winrock Sam Don 1, would help to define a structurally-sound cow herd adding tremendous length to the GVF animals. Many of the present assets of GVF Herefords can be traced back to this important first purchase. A few years later, Dan and Karen would travel to Oklahoma, back to the great Turner Ranch dispersion in 1975, where they would purchase the next sire of note: TR Donald Jr 2628 out of Sam Donald Jr.

 

Daughters Barbara and Audra remain active in the operations of GVF Herefords.
